When you attach a product image, HeyGen transforms it into a full video clip. The system sends your image, script, selected voice, and aspect ratio to HeyGen's API. It returns an HD MP4 with motion, AI voiceover, and burned-in captions.
Rendering takes 1–3 minutes. You can track the status in real-time. Once ready, the video is saved to Brand Media where you can download it, preview it, or schedule it across multiple channels.

For TikTok slideshows, each slide image is generated individually by GPT Image while maintaining visual consistency across all slides — same color palette, lighting, composition, and brand mood.

Do I need a camera or editing software?
No. The entire process is AI-driven. You provide a brief and optionally a product image. The system handles script writing, voiceover, and video rendering.
How long does video rendering take?
HeyGen typically renders a video in 1–3 minutes. You can continue working in other parts of the app while it processes. The status updates automatically.
Can I edit the script before it becomes a video?
Yes. The generated script is saved with the content item. You can edit it from the Calendar before approving and publishing.
What happens if I skip the product image?
The script is still generated and saved as a draft, but no video file is rendered. You can use the script to film your own content, or add an image later.
Can I post the same video to multiple channels?
Yes. Select multiple channels during creation. A separate content item is created for each one, all sharing the same video asset.
What image formats are supported?
For AI videos: JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF (up to 10MB). For TikTok slideshows: JPEG, PNG, and WebP (up to 10MB per slide). HeyGen image-to-video requires JPEG or PNG.
Where is the finished video stored?
Rendered videos are saved to your Brand Media library. From there you can download, preview, or reuse them across other posts and campaigns.
